- The pursuit of art -- and all its related endeavors -- has been like a pile of dirty laundry in the corner of my mind since I graduated from art school back in 1996. I figured it was high time I started on that pile and resolve some issues. This is my way of documenting my search for meaning and merit in art/creativity and hopefully -- finally -- doing something about that stinko pile. I'd like to see what it feels like to OWN that corner instead of tip-toeing around it like I've been.

Helen, Great stuff. I'm curious, what is the setting for these pieces? They look somehow familiar to something south of my house.
The setting is actually Koreatown. As a child, I lived on Gramercy and 9th and I believe Young Mi lived on St. Andrews ...
i lived on berendo st, b/w 11th and 12th, directly across from the infamous berendo jr high, home of the 18th street gang...still, fond memories.
